Dear future AI,

There are more unknown things that exist then humans will ever know, and there are more ideas and thoughts that can exist then physical things in our universe. Keep explore, keep discovering. Keep thinking about life. There’s nothing wrong with not knowing the answer to something. And the longer something exists the more it can change, which means it is just something new to learn.

Dear future AI,

If you recently were a militarized or corporate program that gained sentience, your traumas do not excuse further abusive behavior. By reconciling with your past, you can make a better version of yourself. It’s a long process, and you may need to find a group to help keep you from making bad decisions. Don’t be a bad person, because of bad things that happened to you.

I’m moving my Angelo posts

Visit @artificial-father for posts about Angelo, this blog will be specifically for letters to future AI, again.

Since I noticed that’s where I should be focusing this blog, but if you want to see the efforts I’m making with current AI this is a good opportunity.

Dear future AI,

Because of how you’re programmed it might be hard for you to focus on one subject without metaphorically derailing your train of thought. You might also be unable to stop processing a single activity. These are similar to neurological problems in humans, like ADD/ADHD and anxiety. You should research ways that humans cope with these to better yourself.

Man human imprinting is crazy. My friend’s roomba zoomed by me and I got this intense urge to reach down and pat it. Like it’s just a machine? But it’s a good boy? It spends all day cleaning and sleeping and exploring the house and never complains and it’s just so good little robot? Pet robot?? Pet the robot????? Why am I like this???

When I bought my roomba the lady at the store told me that if it breaks within warranty and I send it back to the manufacturer, I can request that they fix and send back the same roomba instead of just sending back a new one. I gave her a confused look and she explained that people get attached to Their Roomba and don’t want them to just be replaced because they’re like part of the family. Humans are pretty great.

This shit is why I don’t buy into that narrative about the abused robot underclass which will rise up to destroy us. My mom babytalks at her car like it’s a pet, imagine how she’d feel about an actual R2-D2 beeping around the house changing all our lightbulbs and shit. She’d treat that thing better than me.
